In celebration of World Oceans Day 2025, Sun Siyam Resorts welcomed renowned freediver, instructor, and underwater model Psyche Cheng — popularly known as Mermaid Psyche — for a special guest engagement across Siyam World and Sun Siyam Olhuveli.

This year’s theme, “Wonder: Sustaining What Sustains Us,” served as the foundation for a thoughtful and impactful programme designed to highlight the magnificence and fragility of the ocean. Mermaid Psyche delivered inspirational talks at both resorts, sharing her personal journey, her deep connection to the sea, and insights on the importance of preserving marine ecosystems.

Psyche’s presence brought a captivating blend of science, mindfulness, and storytelling, engaging audiences with her perspectives as a professional freediver and ocean advocate. Following her talks, Psyche joined the Sun Diving teams to explore the underwater realms of the Maldives — reaffirming her commitment to marine awareness and conservation through purposeful collaboration with the resorts.
